On the 8-10 November, 2019 we will run our first Fighting Fit programme at the Leeds Mercure Parkway Hotel. We are taking bookings right now and there are still places available. The programme will comprise a mixture of exercise taster sessions plus information about employment rights and benefits, the use of technology to improve daily living, skills for working life, medication and research. There will be singing and dancing sessions and the opportunity to meet and share experiences with other working-age people with Parkinson’s in a friendly and caring environment. Partners are very welcome to participate in the programme. Please use the contact us form on the website to register interest in the Leeds programme.
Fighting Fit is an innovative residential weekend programme for younger and working-age people with Parkinson’s that encourages self-awareness and helps each participant to take greater control of their life. The aim is to provide information and sign-posting, to share experiences and discuss the practical and emotional impact of living and working with Parkinson’s.
