Designed by an Australian physiotherapist, Clock Yourself is an app that introduces physical exercises with cognitive exercises, that are done simultaneously.

There are five levels of Clock Yourself activities that are based around an imaginary clock face beneath your feet giving you 12 reference points to step to.

To set up all you need is about 2m x 2m of space and a smartphone or tablet with audio. As you progress through the levels you can challenge yourself further by introducing weights, using bigger, more powerful movements and by speeding up the movements. From a cognitive point of view you have the option to choose up to 7 different languages (great for getting children involved!), and change the clock face from numbers to minutes, months, signs of the zodiac, animals, symbols and periodic table elements. And once you’re feeling really fit and energetic, you can progress to the cardio level where you can jump rather than step and introduce other movements.

This is a fun, challenging exercise that improves your fitness levels, cognitive skills and balance. You can do it with other members of the family or friends in the comfort of your home at a cost of just £1.99 and available from your favourite app store.
